Hello! I’m Piyush.

I am a Software Engineer at MBition (Mercedes-Benz Group) in Berlin, where I am part of the team building the next generation of the “Hey Mercedes” virtual assistant. My work sits at the intersection of embedded systems and highly optimized edge-AI models, focusing on transforming how in-cabin experiences are personalized and enhanced through intelligent interactions.

My foundation is in Design Engineering from IIT Madras, a multidisciplinary background that fused electronics, computer science, and mechanical engineering. This “horizontal” expertise allows me to approach software not just as code, but as a holistic product.

Currently, I am deeply invested in the evolution of Agentic AI systems as I am developing and deploying them. My goal is to move beyond simple command-response models toward proactive, intelligent agents that anticipate user needs.

My Core Philosophy on Building Intelligent Systems:

User-Product-Centric Design: Every system I touch, I pull perspective from both the end-user and the product side, which helps to think holistically and ensures complex systems remain intuitive and purposeful.

Verification Engineering Rigor: I am a strong advocate for Test-Driven Development (TDD) which starts with specification and requirements and extends to automated testing to ensure reliability in safety-critical automotive environments.

Leadership: From self-starting niche projects, challenging existing paradigms, to spearheading professional-grade software launches, I combine technical execution with agile project management.

I am driven by the challenge of creating smart, futuristic products that tangibly improve daily life.
